Dr Yez Sheena – Specialist Plastic Surgeon
Dr Sheena is a Specialist Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon, dual-accredited in Australia and the UK, with a focus on breast and body aesthetics and cancer reconstruction.
He undertook training at leading UK plastic surgical centres across London, Oxford, Birmingham, and Cambridge, culminating in a National Oncoplastic Breast Fellowship in Chelmsford. He then completed senior fellowships in Perth, gaining extensive experience in trauma, cancer reconstruction (including lymphoedema management), and aesthetic surgery in general and with a focus on the breast, body contouring, and lipomodelling (liposuction and fat transfer).
Having settled with his young family on the Gold Coast, Dr Sheena works within the public Queensland Health service, where he chairs the Breast Reconstruction Multidisciplinary Team and is an honorary Senior Lecturer at Griffith University. He is delighted to work closely with Queensland BreastCare Centre colleagues, offering private services to patients in the reconstructive or aesthetic setting. He is known for his collaborative approach, supporting patients to feel informed and involved in their care, and delivering meticulous precision in surgical planning, operative technique and aftercare.
